CGDI MB Keyless Go Key Tutorial: How to Write and Reset

 Cardiagtool publishes official tutorial on CGDI MB Car Key Programmer Keyless Go Key Write and Rese.

GDI Prog Mercedes Benz key programmer is the fastest key programming tool to calculate the password at present.

Operation Procedures:

Part 1. How to Write Key?

After right connection with CGDI MB Car Key Programmer and the keyless go key into the detection coil, click “Load file” to load the already download “W211” key file into the software.

Select “Read/Write key” on the left column>>Read Key/Chip

 

If work on smart key, please choose 41 format.

Click “Open File/Write”>>CGDI_KEY_...41.bin

 

At this moment, it will start writing key EEPROM. Do not pull out the key.

Write key successfully!

Make sure the key is inserted into the device and check the key password. Then click “Activate”.

Activate key successfully!

Click “Read key/Chip again. The key state is marked “used”.

Part 1. How to Reset Key?

Take out the keyless go key out from the CGDI Prog MB tool.

Press the marked two buttons of the key together until the red light is on.

Then, press the “Unlock” key button to reset the key.

How to Solve wiTECH MicroPod 2 Serial Number Not Registered Error?

 When buying the wiTECH MicroPod diagnostic tool and installing its software on PC, appearing this error “Device with serial number WSP-21279 is not registered. Please check the knowledge base to determine how to register a device...”

Some of the customers recently report this error to our after-sale service center, seem very anxiety to get this problem solved.

Here will provides the step-by-step solution for them.

Right click the wiTECH MicroPod diagnostic software and select the “Attribute” to check specific information.

Find this file named “app-config”, double click on it and scroll down to find this line and change the value “5f86...” to “6f86...”, save it and exit.

Restart this software, it reports the error of “An internal registration error has occurred...” Don’t worry about that.

Tick on “off-line working” at the bottom left, and “Finish” at the bottom right.

Then select “Continue” to confirm the car model year.

How to Solve Ford VCM 2 Tool Module Programming & Configuration Timed Out Error?

 This article comes with an eastern European customer who bought Ford VCM 2 Diagnostic Tool (Item NO. SP177-2) that have this Module Programming & Configuration Timed Out Error.

Firstly, let’s check what he is saying:

Hi, Enclosed are a set of 7 pics, and Ill start with explaining what it is that I need to do...   The Original PCM is no longer available to us and so a manual programming of the PCM MUST be COMPLETED... Keys must also be set for truck to operate... All Input values are known and ready to be uploaded to the PCM... The Exact process of programming may or may not be correct So Correct any Flaud Step that maybe the reason that this is not working correctly

IDS
The VCM2 is Found and Connected and Handshaking is establishe and Varrified by Acknowledgment through IDS Software...  Within the IDS GUI, after the establishing and the successful connection with IDS, and Downloading the PCM's Internal saved data... Next Selecting the "Toolbox Icon" (Left side top 3rd Icon) I select "Manual Programming" and hit the "Check", After a couple seconds an Error occurs:

and configuration timed out due to out of date

IDS scan tool software.  Please update the IDS
scan tool software to the latest level and retry.

I did attempt to download and install the Genuine Ford Update at www.motorsportservice.com but update Fails with "Wrong Version Found" This Update will update Ver 123.01 to 123.05 only (there is a Pic included on the desktop of the update) This Ver is 115.01

What I need to know is Can this IDS UPDATE, or Is there a work-a-round or method of programming a PCM With this Hardware/Software Comb as it sits out of the box...
